Category:MSX-DOS 1 Tools

Description

MSX-DOS 1 was not provided with tools under the form of .COM files, contrary to MSX-DOS 2. It means that all tools for MSX-DOS 1 have been created and distributed apart from the MSX-DOS 1 official releases, even the tools created by ASCII Corporation.

Most of these tools have been created by the MSX scene. They provide additional commands and can generally also be used under MSX-DOS 2 / Nextor.

Note also that a MSX-DOS 1 tool can sometimes offer an advanced programming environment, it's the case of MemMan for example.

Commands

The below table includes only the MSX-DOS 1 Tools for which a detailed explanation of the commands provided by these tools is available in the corresponding Wiki pages. It will be updated each time a tool is deeply explained.

At the bottom of this page, you can find a list automatically generated by the Wiki system, with more MSX-DOS 1 Tools.
