ECC stands for Europees Computer Centrum, a computer shop located in Willebroek, Belgium. They sold MSX items, amongst which AVT equipment. But also BBC computers Tandy TRS-80, IBM PC stuff. One of their ads says "Wholesale, Development, Import of computer hardware."

The man behind the shop, Edwin van Abs, also developed some hardware of his own.

Their products:

  • ECC Expansion Computer Case
  • enhanced disk ROM for the AVT DPF-550, allowing it to format floppies in all formats
  • ECC EPROM programmer
  • ROMs for printers to make them MSX compatible, like the FAX-180, TREND JP, and STAR SG-10.

There were also plans for a real slot expander, but there is no evidence it was ever released.
