Effect

Loads binary code from the specified Quick Disk device.

Syntaxes

  • CALL BLOAD ("QDn:<Filename>",R,<Offset>)

Specify at least the <Filename>. Parameters can not end with a comma alone.

  • CALL BLOAD ("QDn:<Filename>",S,<Offset>)

Specify at least the <Filename> with the S parameter. Parameters can not end with a comma alone.

Parameters

QD specifies the used Quick Disk device. Value n can vary between 0 and 7. By default, the loading will be made from Quick Disk device 0.

<Filename> is the name of the binary file to load. The format is 8 characters followed by a point and an extension with 3 characters.

The parameter R is used to run automatically the binary code contained in the loaded file.

The parameter S is used to load the contents to VRAM - This can be done in any screen mode but only the active pages are valid when the screen mode is higher than 4.

<Offset> indicates the program will be loaded at start address+offset. This parameter also affects the execution address.
