CALL BGM in MSX-AUDIO Basic

Effect

Determines the playing mode of MSX-AUDIO/PCM/PSG music. This mode is also extended to these operations:

  • Recording and playback of ADPCM in the local mode while using external memory
  • Recording and playback of Music Keyboard record that does not use array as a recording area

Syntax

CALL BGM(<Mode>)

Parameter

<Mode> specifies the mode to be used
0 = not in the background - other instructions can't be executed while the mentioned operations are not finished
1 = in the background - other instructions can be executed while the mentioned operations are not finished

Effect

Specifies or not whether to perform MSX-MUSIC/PSG music in the background.

Syntax

CALL BGM(<Mode>)

Parameter

<Mode> specifies the mode to be used
0 = not in the background - other instructions can't be executed while the music is playing
1 = in the background - other instructions can be executed while the music is playing
