The media art site Rhizome is dedicated to the creation, presentation, preservation, and critique of emerging artistic practices that engage technology. Quite a mouth full! This week, Rhizone concentrates on demos, the phenomenon that evolved from classic game cracktros to an artform that keeps thousands of artists and programmers in shape.

MSX1, a human protein encoded in the MSX1 gene, already known for being able to cause Wolf-Hirschhorn syndrome through mutation, has recently come to light again.

Topic: Media, a large website providing a platform for demos (or electronic art, as they call it) all around the globe, has nominated five oldschool demos from 2009 for their annual awards.

This month, the second issue of OLD!Gamer arrived in Brazil. This magazine is aimed at a number of old computer platforms, including MSX, and it's very famous in Brazil. This issue features MSX right away: Marcelo Tini, of MSX History was interviewed.

In a recent show of the Brazilian MTV, a number of people were interviewed regarding the various game consoles they own. All kinds of models are clearly visible, including our sturdy MSX! The MSX logo isn't really shown, but to us it was of course more than obvious. Later on Konami's Vampire Killer is shown, both the cartridge and the actual game play.

A few days ago, the third issue of Retroaction was released. In the first two issues of this -good looking- digital magazine MSX got its fair share of attention already, and luckily this third issue again features MSX!

MSX fan djh1697 from the United Kingdom just finished scanning the first (and perhaps only) twelve issues of the Konami Software Club Newsletter. These newsletters, more than twenty years ago, kept its readers up to date about Konami. MSX receives a lot of attention, but other systems are mentioned as well.

The digitally published Retroaction Magazine puts the focus where you expect it: retro platforms. A landscape format magazine with quite a lot of pages, all in full color.

The latest issue of the Spanish magazine @RROBA was just released. It's a consolidated computer magazine, distributed in the whole of Spain. For this issue, the chief editors of the magazine were attracted to La Corona Encantada, the new MSX and ZX-Spectrum game from the the Karoshi Corporation.

The Spanish leading videogame website MeriStation recently published an article about Konami's Snatcher saga of no less than twelve pages. The article appears in a series of writings dedicated to retrogaming called Regreso al Pasado (Back to the Past).
