Sjoerd Mastijn, developer of the second Moonsound tracker Realfun, is working on a Z80 assembler that started as a replacement for TASM to develop software with. Currently Sjoerd has decided to release SjASM (as the assembler is called).

Since it might be useful to others, he decided to put it online on their website.

A new version of the SjASM compiler has just been released, fixing several bugs that were present in the previous release. Apart from that PUSH and POP now accept a list of registers and a 16 bit SUB instruction was added.

A new version of XL2s' cross-assembler Sjasm has been released a few days ago. Fixed in this version is a Sjasm-crash while using structures.

A new version of XL2s' cross assembler Sjasm has just been released! New in this version:

  • Fixed: 'unexpected' ascmap error
  • Fixed: error reports without list file
  • Fixed: more small bugs
  • Added: page range to PAGE command
  • Added: incbin.list, jr., djnz. and jp

XL2S Entertainment have released a new version of SjASM, a Z80 assembler for Windows and Linux. This version adds Microsoft Visual Studio compatible error messages.

v0.331 of the SjASM the cross assembler, which supports Z80, runs on PC and has had some bugs fixed since the latest version and also it's now possible to use nested macro's.
