Hey ZanacX, don't you think one week is too short for a complete round? I've won only because those scores I had already done them in the past. I think people who haven't played in a long time may have a hard time making a decent score in these games if they have to achieve it within the week (myself included).
Maybe it's best if you don't set a deadline at all, I am thinking out loud here, but what if round is over ONLY when nobody else submits a score better than the top score whitin say... 5 days after the last submission? I think that will encourage people to keep improving their score and we will end up with better scores.
Anyway, sorry again! 
I am changing the competition you are organizing yourself, take this as a suggestion please, not as a complaint.
Back on topic, The Goonies! What a great game.. I haven't started playing yet and I am already humming the music
By the way, my time on Nemesis (Gradius actually, since I played the japanese version on 60hz) was 24 minutes.

Sure, why not? I don't see the point in starting at the same time (since it's not like we are playing online or anything) but yes, if that's what you want the little issue is that 5 hs GMT is 2 AM here 
and I have very little free time during the week... I play on the weekends most of the time if you want we can play on saturday!
