We are happy to inform you that the new version of the Unimapper cartridge v3.5 has just been released. As of now, this is the most advanced version of the cartridge and moreover - it allows to program the EEPROM chip directly from MSX computer! The project files can be downloaded from RBSC's repository:

https://github.com/RBSC/Unimapper

Changes in v3.5 comparing to the previous version
-------------------------------------------------
- Added Normal/Programming mode jumper
- Added the utility to program the EEPROM from MSX computer
- Changed Gerber files
- Changed GAL chips' firmware
- Added support for all 4 mappers: ASCII8, ASCII16, Konami4 and Konami SCC
- Page layout at startup has been implemented according to the documentation
- For ASCII8, ASCII16 and Konami SCC mappers it's possible to switch page 0

Attention!
----------
If you are using the EEPROM up to 256kb, you may only install 2 GAL chips instead of 3. This may become handy if rewriting of EEPROM is not planned in the future. However, if you plan to rewrite the EEPROM's contents, it's recommended to install a socket for the third GAL chip. This way you will be able to insert the chip and get the EEPROM's programming option back.

And btw, if you already have version 3.0, it's easy to mod it into version 3.5 in order to enjoy the latest features!

Not sure if it the right place to ask as it is GAL programmer related.
I'm trying to assemble couple of Unimapper but could not program a single GAL22V10D with either TL866CS and T48 (TL866-3G) maybe due to VPP over voltage triggers when set higher than 12v.
Default voltage is set to 16V and required for other type of GAL. It works fine with GAL16V8A and GAL20V8B.
The github repository indicates this specific PLD and refers to using the TL866. Is there a setting that I am missing here?
Thanks

You need GAL22V10D and the programming voltage is 16v. I had no issues programming my chips with my TL866. Could it be that your chips are bootleg or broken?

Thanks for this info. I can confirm that the whole batch I bought on Aliexpress are bootlegs.
Also used acetone on it and the marking disappeared straight away.
Do not buy from this shop the Fake GAL22V10D
Thanks.
