Wow, i flashed the Disk.Rom in to a Flashrom and inserted it in to my MSX1 Slot.
Started MSXDSK 0.94 and mounted a DSK file..... And it works !!! Smile the mounted disk is Booting ...

That's great. Its much better to boot from a real ROM.
Loading the ROM into RAM fails with MSXDOS and other disk games, but Disk BASIC works good.

Strange that it won't load with ROMLDR2.CAS... i'll try to load it from a different device.

Ok, but still try the special build on this device since I want to make it work on all devices.

Guys
Just tried and it does NOT work for me on my Omega - I was going to try with an older MSX computer but the DB9 connector won't fit into the recessed port - will need to change the connector
I CAN load the loadrom.cas either via cassete ( Casduino) or computer ( audio mini port), then starts loading the ROM, but fails with: Error: 0x01 ( in both cases), Y did retry a couple of times, but won't go any further
It may be not compatible with the computer
Has anybody tried with an MSX2 type computer?

Thanks

Thanks

Error 1 means that the TX line is low (0V) while it should be high (5V).
Is the usb serial adapter connected properly?

Yes
I've checked and pin 1is to TX, pin 6 to RX and 9 to GND on my CP2102 usb adapter
I've reversed the pins, just in case and ( as expected ) nothing happened
Is there any way to debug?

Thanks

Seems to be some compatibility issue with my Omega, as I managed to connect the cables directly ( no connector) to an older MSX 1 and it loaded perfectly!
I was able to load a ROM game without problems
Just two questions:
- I need to load the loadrom.cas , which means I need to connect a cassette ( or the computer ) audio ports. Would it be possible to program my own ROM so I won't need to do that?. I think you hinted on the readme how to do it, but was not clear to me how.
- The only way to transfer files to the MSX seems to be using a .DSK file, how do you create one?

Thanks

@javiermi

First make sure that the CPU is running at 3.58MHz.
If that's the case, it could be some interrupt delaying the RX routine until it is too late.
Please send a screenshot of the error.

For your MSX1, you need to cut and remove the metal part of the DB9 in order to fit.
