Hi, I downloaded the english patch by Project Melancholia.
I have 3 .dsk file. I tried to patch both SCC version and SCC+ version, but when I load the Disk 1, it doesn't happen anything...I have this screen:

It doesn't start also the original japanes version: when I load Disk 1, it doesn't happen anything, I have same screen.

I tried an already patched version: when I load Disk 1, it starts, but it requires a SOUND CARTRIDGE...

Please, can you suggest how can I run it correctly? Do I need a different .dsk version to patch?

thank you

You probably patched the original disks. They require the sound cartridge.
Not sure if patching it twice affects its working. Download again and only patch the scc+ version.

well, the working .dsk are already patched, I didn't patch them. But I have the issue of the missing sound cartridge. Thank you for your link: where I have to put this file? Have I to put it in a specific folder in the OpenMSX installation folder?

The not working .dsk files I don't know how to use them...they don't work even if I don't patch them...I see the screen that I sent in my previous post...

thanks

The sound cartridge goes like a rom into the cartridge slot like the dsk file goes in the disk drive.

Okay, seems you are using openMSX as your emulator (great choice). For SD-Snatcher to work you have to add the Konami RA-010 SD Snatcher Sound Cartridge extension in slot A or B. You can do this by clicking menu (top left of the emulation window) then Extensions, Add and scroll down to the right one and press enter. Then insert the disk 1 and reset the MSX.

Ah! It's in the extensions list as well (if you got the zip of system files from the grey circuit). I never noticed that.

yeah, great! It works!" many thanks! So, every time I want to play the game, I have to follow these steps, because every time I have to load the Konami cartridge, am I right?
So, when it is necessary Disk 2 and Disk 3, the emulator will load them automaticaly?

Last question: do you know where Open MSX saves the configuration file of the emulator? Is it possible to modifiy the path and save it in the same emulator folder?

thank you very much!

Yes you have to load the Konami cartridge every time you want to play the game. The emulator does not know when the game wants to read from another disk, so if you are prompted to insert disk 2 you have to go through the menu and insert the disk in drive A.
