Hi,

Am I right that the nintendo 64 connector is the same as the msx one?
Because for a project I need a couple of MSX cartridge connectors (the ones where you plug in, not the cartridge themselves).
Will this work? https://nl.aliexpress.com/item/32827696144.html

No, they aren't the same: N64 cartridge slot pins have a 2.50 mm pitch, while MSX has 2.54mm.
If you compare the two fingerboards you'll see that they don't match, however the difference is not that big, and with care, it's possible to fit a N64 cart in a "MSX connector".

However it seems that the N64 connectors sold on Aliexpress are really 2.54mm (good for MSX) instead of the correct type, so you may be lucky.

Last time I checked, I had no problems finding card edge connectors for a PCB (with the MSX specs). I had some trouble finding IDC-type connectors (to a flat cable) to make the ubiquitous expansion connector more easily usable, but they do come up occasionally for sale.

If that is indeed 2.54mm (instead of 2.50mm) as Pentarou claims, then indeed that should work (I couldn't find verification on the description, but maybe the picture is a giveaway), but 2.54mm pin connectors (which are claimed as such) should not be too difficult to come by. I can find several sellers on eBay with reasonable postage (5 pcs for <10$).
