Well, I can't understand your request. You don't want to connect a drive and still test if the disks work? You can't decide for a RAM extension and don't want to buy a Flash-ROM cartridge?
You can test the game with another MSX user, the fair at the weekend is also a good opportunity to get to know such components. Maybe there are similar meetings near you or MSX users who will show you the possibilities?
I have an external floppy drive that doesn't use the belt system. It won't load the game even when I hold the CTRL key at bootup.
