Greetings ALL
Got a XDJ as a nice gift from a friend. Had various problems, all solvered, but when I closed it I saw the speed controller wasnt working - It worked "on" and "off". But no speed reduction.
The speed controller has two parts - one is a switch (!) on the potentiometer which turns on a pair of flip-flops to divide the /VINT signal and use as a visual aid to control speed.
The other part is a resistor, the potentiometer and a capacitor from +5V to one of the pins of a Sony IC. Scoping it I can see a sawtooth with width controlled by the potentiometer. But CLK does not varies from 3.58
Also, there is no XDJ service manual. I tried to guide myself using the XD manual but the speed controller is a different chip.
Unfortunately, no XDJ around to compare, so I ask if any of you has experience repairing/understanding the speed controller circuit.
Something I found strange: The amplitude of the sawtooth is less than a volt. It shouts me the input pin is toast.
Thanks!
