Ports....

Hi, all we know about zx->msx ports but i'm wondering if there are some other 'official' ports from other machines, like c64-> msx. Anyone knows about?

There are many ports from Sega SG-1000 to MSX1, and from PC-88 to MSX2

Druid, Koronis Rift, Eidolon, Labyrinth....those are adaptations from Commodore 64 i think

how about the reverse? Are there many ports from MSX games to other systems?
....maybe some MSX2 to Mega Drive games, but they were mostly pretty different.

sg1000->msx1 is a port, but due to strong similarities between hw i could not define a true port.... more like a "sound port"

Does Famicom to MSX count? Because there were a ton of those, and those are NOT almost identical machines.

Usually didn't turn out too well for the MSX version, though, sadly. But occasionally, the MSX version had at least one leg up over the Famicom original -- like the port of Final Fantasy, which has a lot of issues, but does have a really outstanding FM soundtrack that the Famicom/NES could never have hoped to pull off!
