The other OPLs should also have the same test register function (in register 1 instead of register 15), however you need to double the setting for the multiplier because they have one more phase bit than the OPLL. Because a multiplier of 24 can’t be set, only the technique with dc-offset can be used.

Unfortunately, I am using MegaFlashROM SCC+ SD and I get a substantial slow down in playback. Especially the music sounds pretty bad.
Does anyone know why this happens? Playback only works correctly with MEGASCSI or something? Or can I change some settings somehow to make it run more fluently?
It uses the MSX-MUSIC to play the PCM. It also seems to use a new function of the MegaFlashROM SCC+ SD FPGA (needs to be updated I think), I’m guessing it’s for streaming data from disk?
I now read this. Do I need to update my MegaFlashROM SCC+ SD FPGA? Is this update already released? And if yes, where to find it and how to update? Can't wait ^_^
I got it working with ext "fmpac", not on the GT emulation in OpenMSX. Will try some flashcards tomorrow. I have the MFR, GR8NET and and Carnivore2 to try it on.
Well, did some testing. On the SX1+mini I was not able get it working, except on 8Mhz with the MFR. Every time I ran it at 3.5 it threw an error 3 or 4 (mostly depending on if you use OPLL or PCM). The 8Mhz SX1+MFR setup had unrecognizable sound and corrupted graphics, but it did something.
On my NMS8280 I only got it working on the MFR and a Panasoft FM-Pac. It was too slow however and there was a lot variation in the sample frequency of the sound. Running at 7.14Mhz did nothing.
I tried it together with the MFR+Carnivore 2 but was not able to get it booting. So it works better on OpenMSX than real hardware.
The FPGA configuration needs to be updated. This can be done using a Xilinx programming cable, or sending the cartridge to me.
From this update on, it will be possible to update the FPGA from the MSX itself.
