What improved graphics do you mean exactly?
Try it yourself? https://www.msx.org/news/software/en/gradius-ips-patch
The download link still works, it even includes detailed screenshots.
Looks like I completely missed that somehow! (Ah, it was posted 1 week after my first child was born, perhaps that is the reason ;-))
Anyway, I tried to download the IPS patch, but I get redirected into several loops on Japanese pages... does someone have a direct link?
EDIT: it looks like the file is gone... is it available elsewhere? Or wait... you said it's still there.... I must be too stupid to find it then.
Er... When Nemesis 1 with smooth scroll is done, can you consider releasing a patch to the version with the original MSX graphics? While I think the version with arcade graphics is cool, the original one is... the original, you know.

Well... Maybe... When I finish this version... Maybe...
very good work indeed!
Very nice job!
OMG, this is fantastic!
Thank you for all the hard work that has gone into this patch, it feels like a new game!
Hope there are more smooth scroll patches to come, if the original games were this quality back in the day, then people would have bought more MSX's in the UK rather than the weaker ZX Spectrum....
Hi, I tried to make it run via SofaRun using Philips VG-8235 with 8bit4ever's SD512 cartridge. After mapping the rom all I get is a blue screen. Any tips on how to get it running ? The file is patched correctly, because it runs fine under emulation.
What is the mapper type you are using on that cartridge?
