Big chance that the core material of the transformer matches that for the 50hz as well so there will not even be a difference. There is bo circuit on de secondaries that depends on de frequencies so no wierd side effects.
Which MSX are you using, and what frequencies does the sticker on the back say it accepts? Japan has a split electrical system with one half of the country on 50 Hz and the other half on 60 Hz, so typically Japanese MSX computers will accept both. Secondly, the Japanese voltage is 100V, not 110V, so be aware that if you supply 110V you exceed the voltage by 10%. p.s. I myself have a UT-130E.
Thanks! I'm using a FS-A1WX and indeed it's accepting both frequencies. The UT-130E seems to be perfect and I've ordered one. Thanks again!
For this computer it's easy to change the transformer to be able to power it from 220v.

It only took 2 days for the UT-130E to travel from Japan to the Netherlands. Amazing! It's working perfectly, as does the OSSC. I'm finally able to read the single sided discs which I thought were dead.
Thanks again for your help guys, appreciate it.
Wow, just two days! And congratulations on that set-up! A FS-A1WX, an OSSC and a UT-130E is a great combination. All high quality stuff .
@Thom: I'd like to know where you ordered them. I have one (second hand) but I'd like to have a few more.

I couldn't believe how quickly the UT-130E arrived, especially in these corona days.
It was nice to switch on a real MSX for the first time in about 25 years or sth
Thanks Thom.
