Yeah, thanks, but no, thanks. I'm not running binaries without sources on my machine.

Converters are the easiest programs to make portable. I'm surprised there's no open-source portable converter, especially given that there's open source code to deal with TSX already. For me such a tool is basic.

I for one think TSX support for openMSX should be added/accepted. Regardless of what I think is the best format to store tape games, TSX is a way to do it, and a (dare I say very?) good way to do it it seems. Many things in openMSX are not 100% necessary and are just there because it makes our lives easier so we have more fun! Features like dir2disk, zip/gzip compression of systemroms, ROMs or disk images. Stuff that has nothing to do with pure emulation or with real hardware compatibility. Same can be said for TSX format support? I think so!

And I love TSX on my TSXduino on real hardware!

In short (because all this bores me), TSX is the perfect format for preserving a tape game. Whether OpenMSX accepts it or not, we already have forks and other emulators ... and that's enough. Lovers of reliable preservation will continue our work. We just need the TSX format, an emulator (or fork) to run it, hardware to be able to use it in the real MSX and people with a lot of knowledge wanting to do things well . Luckily, we already have all that.

If the goal is preservation, all basic tools should be open source, portable and easily available. Otherwise preservation does not have any chance on the long term.

But sorry Manuel, this is just only your new alibi to not add TSX support.

Ok, is your choice. No problem with that.

But don't worry, in 2 days I will add there a new wav.php class to do it. So all will be right ;)
