Zemmix Neo project in Korea. (OCM based Zemmix with CNCed case)

Hi, this is Deoks in Korea.
Just one of the member who made Zemmix Neo.

Zemmix Neo was a small project with some people in 'MSX nun Gudakdari' forum
which means 'MSX is old-fashioned' or 'MSX is outdated'.

Some of members in Gudakdari forum members made decision few months ago
about making new kind of MSX which could celebrate 30th birthday of MSX.
The price was not that cheap but it has very unique outfit and embeded scanline
generator. (CNCed case. costs about $150 each)

It costs about $260. However, we spent $290 for each piece. (That means -$30
each pieces) We made it just for fun cause we don't care that much about money.
We cannot make it again though.

Anyways, here is some pictures of Zemmix Neo and manual.
Sorry about it has some Korean characters on manual and Zemmix Neo.

This is rom loader for Zemmix Neo. (Compatible with OCM)
This is just a frontend for ep.com and romload.com.
You could change some option with editing OPTION.CFG.
(Just add some option for using romload.com automatically)

To use this loader, you need to copy ep.com and romload.com
to disk and set path to there. MSX-DOS 2.0 or above required.

You need to make folder information like this
(if the path is set on root . ----> eq. PATH=A:\ )

\\ Zloader.com ------------------+---- MSX1ROM
    Zloader.ovl                          +---- MSX1DSK
    OPTION.CFG                        +---- MSX2ROM
    ep.com                               +---- MSX2DSK
    romload.com                       +---- MSXPLUS
    MSXDOS 2.0 files and AUTOEXEC

You could copy some roms to MSX1ROM, MSX2ROM
and copy some disks to MSX1DSK, MSX2DSK, MSXPLUS.

would it be possible to buy the motherboard without case or enclosure?
Then I could build my own enclosure and you could sell and get profit!
Anyway I would pay 300 Euros for a complete Zemmix Neo if you built it.

Is it 100% compatible with original OCM?

lots of nice hardware for msx build in korea but never it gets to europe. i still wish to have a zemmix

And i ask what is the purpose of this posts. Clearly is hardware that will never be able to get out of korea, so why announce it?

It is 100% compatible with original OCM and has scanline generator function inside.
(H/W scanline generator) I'm not sure I could send motherboard to Europe because
MSX license is still exist in Europe, I heard.

I posted this to show what is going on in Korea. Not only in European, but Korean
are making this kind of items. Zemmix and MSX are well known in Korea as game
machine because Daewoo (H/W Maker in Korea.) made MSX just for game. Cause
we made OCM clone looks like game machine.
I just want to show "the OCMC ver MM." is not the only one hardware that Korea
made.

@mygodess: the people who has the MSX license in europe can eat my balls from under my ass. (I'm sure Capitan_Goto, who's spanish like me, understands this expression).

Let's just arrange it so you can send us some boards on a private way. We don't have to make it "official" here. Do you have an e-mail address so we can talk business? We could arrange an online meeting on gmail (Capitan_Goto, mygodess, me and everyone interested in aquiring boards/complete systems) to discuss prices, payment methods, etc. What do you think? I'm very excited about the Zemmix!! It's the most incredibly beautiful MSX machine I've ever seen!! Keep your Xboxes and PLaystations, I want the Zemmix
