Just like I saw in a few topics around here a lot of people think it's NOT possible to create a part II of an existing Konami MSX game. I think Norakomi is doing a great job so far (yes, I had the honour to see more then only some screenshots ) with his Space Manbow II!!
I think there are a lot of people who would like to see new games like a Solid Snake II or a SD Snatcher II. There are a lot of people talking about that subject, but all I hear is a lot of bla bla!
(for those smart asses out there who will say: Why don't you do it yourself?? > Simple, I got NO programming skills, but I would love to work on a project like these!)
According to some stuff I've read on MRC the some of the greatest obstacles are:
No (good) people who can make descent graphics, no (good) programmers, but most of all: lack of time!
But is this all true?? What I mean is: there is still a lot of talent in the MSX community, but it seems that nobody is trying to do his best to combine forces and make something like a new game.
For myself: I got plenty Ideas for (to my opinion) nice MSX games, I think I can make the graphics for them but I miss the programming skills... So there's where the road ends for me!
Still I think it's a matter of: the right people at the right spot at the right time!
And what about a story-line? This is a great part for a game mentioned here before Like a friend of mine told me once: 'it's more than just take a book and 'copy' that! and I think he was right! I never hear somebody about this subject.
What do you think about this all?
