Nice :)
It's just crazy how much the value of Metal Gear has gone up since the release of Metal Gear V. There has been sold five copies of MGS2 in the price range of 800-1000€. I'm glad I bought it with 150€ few years back.

Now I understand why I sold Solid Snake some weeks ago in less than 5 mins for 155 euro.....
Man... I had that game for 125 guilders (some € 60,-) back in the day and traded it for a Philips RGB screen with some issues and a Philips music module... About the same value at that time... I didn't know there would be a play station sequel...
What if I just didn't have the urge to have a second screen and music module... What if...
But I can still laugh at it, so you are allowed to make fun of me... It won't hurt
Funny, I bought Metal Gear in about 1994 for 50 guilders at the MSX Fair in Tilburg. Cart only.
Later I bought the boxed European MG1 cart on a flea market for 1 guilder. Sold it later for 80 euros, but apparently that was too cheap i don't remember how I got it, but I have another spare complete European MG1 laying around on the attic. When is the right time to sell it?
Ah, and I got my MG2SS for free. The only down side is that it has an SCC switch But I'm not complaining... at all! Will never sell that one, I guess.
When is the right time to sell it?
Probably now, or around the release of the inevitable Metal Gear Solid VI. With every new release in an old franchise, the prices of the older games go up when a new title releases, becauce people new to the series try to catch up.
It happed to the Shenmue games as well recently for example.
Another good one:
