Weird MSX Games?

Yes, as the MSX game library is pretty huge, there's quite some weird games as well.
Here's some I can think of from the top of my head. Let me kick it off with possibly the most weirdest I can come up with:

Sa-Zi-Ri

A game in which you literally have to scream your opponents to death,

while navigating landscapes which go through day/night transitions, all the while collecting lollypops, mouth water and microphones to change and upgrade your yelling style.
You'll meet a huge variety of bizarre creatures which you can even examine or converse with (Japanese, though), leaving options open to insult or flatter them,

take a hot bath in the middle of the battlefield to regain life...

...or give your enemy a bath (which harms them).

Most enemies will morph into something absurd when hit. Enemies include robots, parrots, dwarves, floating heads, unicorns, indefinite shapes, characters from other games by the developer and an alien woman-like creature which hurls bouncing fetuses at you and for some reason exclaims "SHIT!!" when defeated.

Even the way the game depicts you being near-death is something else:

One reason for all this outrageousness is actually in the plot of the game; you're dealing with a lifeform that kills their enemies by getting inside the mind and exploiting their deepest fears to scare them to death.

Pig Mock (Butamaru & Pants)

You control a pig holding a frying pan. Some kind of little demons drop eggs at you from the clouds above. You'll have to catch those with your pan and shove them into the pipes at the sides of the screen. The orange ones can be slinged back at the demons to earn points.

Famicle Parodic II

It's a more than decent shoot-em-'up, but it also seeks to have a go at Thunderbirds. Most of all, the level design is deliberately ridiculous. Game classics such as Xevious, Salamander and Tetris are very obviously spoofed.

XZR/Exile series

In this series, you're a shia assassin who uses all kinds of drugs (such as cannabis, cocaine and peyote) to raise your stats etc., travels through time, meets historic figures like Pythagoras and eventually finishes off some world leaders as well as deities from several religions.

Starship Rendezvous

Hybrid of mildly labyrinthine (somewhat sluggish) birdsview action and 'boss fights' in which you have to please some ladies (after stunning them with a sedative bullet) using all kinds of attributes. Absolutely unique soundtrack.

Well, you're a ghost. If that's not weird enough, the enemies might be.

Relics

You're some kind of a free roaming, bodyless soul which 'steals' bodies to fight. Gameplay can be a bit annoying, though.

Master of the Lamps

You may know this from other systems. It's a cross between a semi-3D carpet ride and a musical memory standoff against genies in lamps.

Xyzolog

Control a ball while dodging amoebas and having to deal with gravity and inertia. The gameplay itself is the most weird factor.

Science Fiction

Pretty strange shooter with slime monsters quoting Arnie. Guess you'll just have to see for yourself...

Well, you came into the right place for weird games. Let's not forget that MSX is a japanese system, and Parodius was born on this platform.

Some more games for your list:

Andorogynus. A game where the protagonist guy goes to a operation to transform it into a woman in the middle of the game. Need to say more?

Silviana. This one mocks up with the RPG genre in general.

Super Cooks. It's a satire of the Golvellius Saga.

Megaz Mokey do. The protagonist have some hallucinations while on class, then gets out to save the world

No-Name, by Kai Magazine: Castlevania meets a sado girl.

Nuts, by Kai Magazine. This is probably the sanest game they created. It's a weird clone of Double-Dragon.

Goody. A game where you're a thief and have to rob people's homes! There are two versions, for MSX1 and for MSX2.

Hyper Somen. A game where you have to eat loads and loads of rice bows. And Tsururin Kun, a game where you have to steal rice buns from an old geiser. Both are part of the Konami Game Collection Extra.

Be-Bop Bout. What happens when you mix Street Fighter with card games? Look at this game to know.

Fighters Ragnarök. "Do you know by brother? No? So I have to kill you".

Rune Master II. Throw your dices, bet on turtle races, and so on.

Rona. A girl tries to save the world riding on the back of a dolphin.

2021 SnookyNow talk about a weird game!

Teacher's Terror. A game where you're a teacher that throws chalks on his students!

Palamedes. Tetris, clone, upside-down

Seed of Dragon. Weird platform game with alien-like scenarios.

Mon Mon Monster. Play as a frankenstein, to... save the world?

Penguin-Kun wars. Throw balls to stun and win your opponent. It has a sequel.

Lilo. You play as a carrot that have some ways with girls.

The Tower of Cabin. RPG+OfficeSpace+MiniGames?

Niko2. Another WTF kind of game.

Princess MakerA game where you have to raise a princess...

Chuka Taisen. Float on a cloud and shoot a lot of weird stuff.

Don't get me wrong, many of those games may be weird, but some are very fun to play just like Penguin Adventure.
