Does anyone know how many turbo-r machines where sold back in the 90' ?
And ... are they realy rare ? I mean .. howmany are left now? And are there still people searching for one ?
Maybe it's a good idea to collect serial numbers

I don't know how many, but it's nice to share thoughts. I'd say about 50.000 ST turboR and 30.000 GT turboR computers have been sold. It's a wild guess 
Sounds like really low numbers if you take into account a custom chip (the S1990) was created specially for the Turbo-R. Or is that 2 (if you also count R800) ? No wonder these things were (& still are) so damn expensive! 
For anyone taking a shot at this: "citation needed" - sources, where did you get the numbers from, or base your estimate on?
In total, 5 million MSX computers were sold worldwide (i read it on the internet).
The turbo-r is only sold in Japan. I don't know how many people life back in the 90 in
Japan.. but say 125.000.000..
If you say 80.000 turbo-r total.. then it's only about say between 0,6 % and 1% of the population
in Japan.
80.000 is between 1% and 2% for all msx that where sold..if 5 million is correctly..
I don't kown how populair the turbo-r where in Japan back in the 90's...
Maybe is a good idea to setup some extra text field or some list boxes in the My Account menu.
Then msx users give there MSX configuration.
I looks like there is something ... xx KSA xxxxx (for the GT) .. but more numbers are needed
