I read the doc in HansO page, but i am not sure about some points:
- 74LS245 is missing and pins should be wired instead of soldering it: souhld be better to use 74245 and wire BUSDIR also?
- J107 needs to be joined (that means "Solder wire from 2 -> 1"): Does it mean that doing that wiring makes A13 possible in MY connector?
you dont need the bidir buffer. It works also without but then you have to wire the D0-D7 to get data to the bus.
If you don't solder the jumper at J107 there is no A13 present at the connector and your slot will not function properly
Ok, which parts do I need to do this? I figured out already I need a harrdisk connector and a slot connector (how is it called?). Also some wire would come handy... anything else I forgot to mention?
you need 50 pin edge connector. I used a 40 pin HDD cable to get most of the signals to the edge connector and used some wire to do the rest. (5V and sound)
Dont forget to get the 40 pin male connector you need to solder into your mainboard. Also some litze would come in handy to remove the solder of the holes of the my connector.
