Yeah, last time I bought a rare game from UK I asked help from a work colleague who resides there, so I added his address as my primary and made the purchase. The seller was not open to shipping outside the UK no matter what.
I think the issue is that I ticked the box saying no international postage and now that items have bids on Ebay doesn't allow that bit to be edited. I've added the USA to my list of countries that I ship to as well as added the bidder to my exceptions list but Ebay still says no. I have the same issue with a couple of bidders on other items from other countries.
I think the only option that I have is to re-list the item but then I'd probably wind up the bidders that are currently interested so it all gets messy. I have no idea how much the things are worth for a BIN so I think the only option is to have someone in the UK bid and forward on or to use a UK proxy service but I have no experience of these to recommend one.
I'll think twice before emptying another cupboard at my parents house.
Yeah, you better not repost them! I've got winning bids on a number of items so far!
Don't worry, I hate it when it happens to me so I'm not going to piss on someone elses chips.
Eurgh, soggy piss chips, nobody wants those
As for UK forwarding services, I used https://forwardvia.com/ twice for shipping retro computers from UK. It works like a charm.
Some of it went to folks here. I hope it'll be enjoyed. MAny happy hours were spent playing lots of these games.
Waiting anxiously for the machines to arrive
Quick update:
Both machines work, the Goldstar needs a good clean and some of the keys don't work (up and right cursors).
The Sanyo is in excellent nick, just spent my lunch hour playing through Nemesis on it with a joymega, 8bitdo MD wireless receiver and an 8bitdo M30!
