It would be great to have an alternative, maybe with a different approach...maybe for MSX2 or higher (V9990?)

A few weeks ago CPC Soccer came out. Looks interesting on youtube. I have heard that the gameplay should be very good. May this could be an orientation for our coder and professionals...

KST website has disappeared without Webarchive archiving any of it. Can you take the picture of the disk so I can get the clue? I am 50% sure it's doujin homebrew. Its name resembles World Cup Italia 90.
Sony Super Soccer and Nidecom American Soccer are the well known soccer games. Ponyca Champion Soccer is Kick off/Sensible styled. Searching generation msx by soccer and football identify other interesting titles.

Thank you for sending me. It's Authentic Brazilian Soccer Game that won MSX Magazine 1991 May Software Contest 2nd place and was distributed via Takeru's MSX Magazine Program Service 1991 May issue. Interesting it was developed by a Brazilian called Kozo Tsuchinaga. I could translate most of the MSX Magazine article.

Amazing! And quite feasible on the MSX1 thank to the new 1x1 pixel scroll algotithms.
In the meanwhile, thank to Takamichi, I created the entry in Gen-MSX of that Brazilian soccer game for the MSX2.

No it isn't!

I had a LOT of fun with it. You could do things in it you couldn't do in other football games, like doing backheels or hitting the ball with your head.

I once even thought about converting it to MSX2/screen 4 (so sprites wouldn't flicker so much and you could have more colors on the players) - but unfortunately the game was converted using screen 1.

What about a game like Captain Tsubasa? At first glance, it seems to be 'achievable' on MSX2.
