The category V9990 for example.
I think it's the only one for the VDPs at least at the moment. No need to create categories for the other VDP's.
Another problem: you give almost the same list of compatible PSG chips on the PSG page and on the General Instrument AY-3-8910 page.
As the PSG page is now a category, I think the list should be only on the General Instrument AY-3-8910 page, but as you have created all these PSG pages, I prefer that you make the change yourself.
It's not a problem.
Why? Your answer does not help me to understand.
PSG is not necessarily an AY-3-8910 compatible chip (physically).
I see ... it's the problem we have with the PSG chip used in the Spectravideo SVI-838 (only 28 pins)
A V9938 category could include the Neos MA-20 and a V9958 category could include the MA-20 clone produced designed by l_oliveira and by fzanoto perhaps?
About a “PSG” (SSG?) category, I think in addition to pin compatibility, the Yamaha YM2149 and Microchip AY8930 versions are also relevant, as well as the ones built into the MSX-ENGINE and MSX-SYSTEM ASICs.
A V9938 category could include the Neos MA-20 and a V9958 category could include the MA-20 clone produced designed by l_oliveira and by fzanoto perhaps?
Seems me good. I think there is not yet a page about the MA-20 clone....
It is a bad idea to make a MA-20 clone with a V9958 since the majority of MSX2+ games (all?) do direct access to VDP.
