Boys like they are, yesterday I arrive, and today I am trying without luck to walk

I have 3 different SD, 1 SD and 2 Micro SD, all format with win10 in FAT and I only make a partition of 50 mb, I put the command and nextor.sys inside the partition and there I put it in the cartridge

The VG-8235 detects the same, but when it starts it does so in nextor basic.

If I call fdisk, I choose the partition, and nothing is left looking for the partition (although it detects the SD when the cartridge starts)

Is something missing?

Hello aceki,

You said FAT, you need to format those as FAT16, be sure of this, otherwise use fdisk on the MSX to make the partitions and formats.

Thanks for your answer, if I try to create the partition with the fdisk it does not leave me, it hangs reading the SD card (a white LED stays on in the SD)

On the other hand, FAT in windows, is not FAT16? otherwise, I'm clearly commenting on the error there (Windows 10 is my operating system used)

FAT in windows is typically FAT32, which Nextor doesn’t support.

Which I recommend to use to make partitions in FAT16, since from the msx, I can not do it either Sad

When you boot keep the "1" key pressed until you get to the basic prompt, then use "call fdisk".

Did you try SD formatter from SD Association?
It can be downloaded from https://www.sdcard.org/downloads/formatter_4/index.html.

Hello! We recommend formatting the SD card under Windows XP or Windows 7. This seems to be the most reliable.

If the card has been previously used is best you use SDFormatter to erase it, as suggested previously.

If you need further support please contact us through our website or email. We are happy to help.

I don't think someone would downgrade his Windows installation to format an SD card.... So better find some alternatives I'd say.

In the desperation maybe downloading some official prepared virtualbox images from ms edge and using them in virtualbox for formatting the sd card might help.

EDIT: i noticed after posting this link that they no more offer windowd 7 images, what a pity. sorry, i used to use that for borrowing the win7 image for this kind of temporary tasks if needed...
