It would be cool if someone ported the FM music from other versions, like the MS-DOS version to the MSX game.
Aside from the fm pac music (isn't it in the sms as well?), I hope this game gets some of the special items fixed: some don't have their proper effect working.
My kids are playing this game a lot now, thanks again for these improvements!
They were just playing stage 22 and the lightning ⚡ weren't hitting the monsters! They went right through them! Another bug?

The SMS version uses only the SMS PSG (though pretty well) despite the FM Sound Source add-on for the Mark III and also the MK-2000 with integrated FM being released for a while already at that point. I suspect it might have to do with the port being done by Taito rather than Sega
BTW MSX Bubble Bobble really sounds quite nice with the MIDI-PAC 2 feeding a GM-compatible MIDI synthesizer that itself uses FM

Unfortunately, it seems the patch cannot be combined with the gdx patch with enhancements...
Toughkid has released a new patch that includes my fixes. It can be applied on the original Rom image or my patched version. The resulting Rom will be the same.

I noticed that Bubble Bobble's lightning bubble isn't affecting the enemies... is that a known bug? It's not fixed in the enhanced version at least.
