PowerGraph VGA out of range

I recently received my V9990 PowerGraph Rev2. I can't get it to work with my VGA screens. When I plug in a VGA cable to either of my monitors, and start the Underwater demo, it will say "out of range" on the monitor.

Is there a manual for the PowerGraph somewhere? On how to connect it?

In fact, it already says "out of range" on the screen, without starting anything.

Sounds like your VGA screen is not compatible. It needs to be compatible with 15KHz horizontal sync.

Yeah, I sort of figured out already that the 15KHz video signal was "out of range" for both my monitors. I just saw a VGA connector and assumed it should work on a VGA monitor. Let me see if I can come up with another monitor, or maybe try the S-video output instead.

You can also make a lead for SCART-RGB to connect to your TV (if it has that connection, though seeing you’re in the USA, probably not…).

Well, I ended up using the S-Video connection instead - no TV with SCART here in the USA, although I do have a SCART to HDMI converter that works nicely - but the S-Video works just fine too! I'm happy to see my 1chipMSX running with 2 screens, a v9990 PowerGraph Rev. 2 and Moonsound.

Tired to spend my money in useless cables, I ask help to find the right ones to connect my PowerGraph v.1 to a monitor or TV. Please list urls to amazon or other sites - for ex is this good?

You have a version 1. The wiki says "CVBS and S-Video outs are immediately available".

If that cable complies to the S-Video standard, it will. It will not give you the best of quality because it's composit. If that's what you want/need/can handle you could give it a shot (I would not want it because it's not RGB). I can not and will not guarentee this cable will work for you or give you the satisfied result. But it should just work, be it only the yellow connector.
