Pioneer Palcom ER-101 MSX Expansion Processor!
The ER-101 is almost an MSX computer on itself! It sort of makes your MSX a Pioneer PX-7. It includes "Laser Vision Player Control", "Superimpose" and "P-Basic (extended MSX-Basic)", just like is built in in the PX-7.

The unit does not have the MSX logo on it, i believe it will only work in MSX1 mode? Since the ER101 contains a replacement for the MSX1 VDP.

Looked it up and yes you are probably right! Extra video chip and video memory on board, to add or replace existing the MSX 1 video chip...
