Hello to all MSX users,

I'm editor of the magazine "Planete Robots", the only magazine on newsstands dealing with robotics in French. In each issue we present a vintage robot. For the next issue (number 9) in May, we would like to present the 2000 SVI RobotArm that could equip MSX. Me, I was on the Amiga and I was drooling on the arm that was never released on my machine.

IF some of you have any info on this robotic arm, can he give me links or posts in this thread. Better still, if an owner of this material could take some pictures of the robot in action in high resolution for the next Planet Robot, it would be the hero of the page (photo credit).

I attended the MSX fair in Orléans last year. Jipé had a robot arm with speech output at his booth. Don't know if it was the device your're looking for. Visit www.msxvillage.fr/panel/panel.php.

Is there a MSX convention in France this year ? I should go see that ! I go to Amstrad CPC and Amiga conventions each years. Why not MSX

I guess your readers would be interested to know where it could be obtained from back in the Golden Days....

It was sold at least here in Finland and in U.K. too. You others can add more countries to give better information to screetch.

It was sold at least here in Finland and in U.K. too. You others can add more countries to give better information to screetch. It was also sold in Spain. I got mine from Saku Taipale (Finland) in the early 00s, though.

It was for sale in Belgium also ...
I remember well, as there was a computer store selling Spectravideo stuff in the mid-eighties in my town.
I actually bought a Spectravideo SV-328 from them, having been mislead to think at the time that it was a fully compatible MSX machine.

A few months later, I negociated an exchange for a Daewoo DPC-200.
Come to think of it, I should have kept the Spectravideo ... But that's another story.

PS : As mentioned before, contact Jipe either on this forum or on MSX Village, he seems to have one.
