We've been planning more reviews, interviews and other articles for ages but I really do have the feeling interesting things are going to start happening in the forseeable future @ MRC Wink

Well, there are two articles in the making as we speak, more are planned (we need to get some review-material first though ^_^).

You're right... I wonder what could be to read an interview with the designers (I don't know their names Crazy Crazy ) of Penguin Adventure or King's Valley, hints, memories, anecdotes...

Actually Penguin Adventure is a Hideo Kojima game as well Smile his first game even. Then Lost World, then Metal Gear. King's Valley, I believe was masterminded by Shinji Iwamoto but I am not entirely sure about that.

Of course in 90% of the cases these people, especially the Japanese, are nowhere to be found these days. Most left the company they worked for back then. I know for example that Tomoyoshi Miyazaki (scenario/story writer for Ys 1 and Ys 2) left Falcom before Ys-III and founded his own company (Quintet who did Soulblazer and Illusion of Gaia for SNES), which ceased to exist and what happened to him since then? No clue.

Then most European developers of the early games probably never really worked on MSX and have no feeling for it (take David Braben - Elite - who only knew of MSX coz someone at Firebird told him they were porting Elite to that system)

I'd like to see the Eggerland people interviewed Smile.
Did Eggerland contain any people then? Big smile

I'd love to see an interview with the whole Engine crew!
To see what they expected in 1994 when they transformed MSX Engine into their own game development studio. To recall what their expectations were back then and which of them they accomplished. How commercial game-development is different from hobby game development.

That would be an interesting tale.

So MrRudi, when may I visit Doetinchem for an interview? Wink

Sorry Toob (aka Sonic)! Ofcourse I say hi to you! Smile
After all we are all big friends around here Wink

By the way, I would also like to see an interview with you and some questions on where you got the inspiration for that strange puzzle game with those ultracool samples in the intro on some FD. And why you came up with the whole ant story and on and on...

That would also be a fun read!

Hell, why don't we have a big interview with all the FD crew together? Snout can interview all surviving FD crew members in one big chat session! There are quite some stories to tell (like... where are the last remaining 5 FutureDisks).

ps... euh... does Appleseed and Venus Wars ring a bell? Smile
