I wonder... yesterday, I was at www.scummbar.com -despite MSX is my fave computer, Monkey Island is my ever fave game- and I was amazed long time reading the "chat with Ron Gilbert", it was incredible, it seems you are live speaking with him...

I guess, is there any way to "invite" some MSX-related people (game developers, hardware designers, Mr. Nishi :P ...) here at www.msx.org... (apart all of you, greatest MSX developers of course :x)

it'll be wonderful! :D :D have any of you any experiece with?

PS : I think my english is worst than ever... :O

We would very much like to get in touch with (ex)-MSX developers (both amateur and commercial) to do some interviews with them. However, it takes time to build a network where you can aquire the (email) adresses needed and it takes time to think of some questions that actually make sense.

Maybe it's interesting to know of which people you'd like to see an interview. I mean... Names like Hideo Kojima and Kazuhiko Nishi are easy names to come up with. But, we will probably start a bit smaller. For instance, an interview with the people behind Engine Software (formerly MSX-Engine), Two Tribes (Fony), Spectra Technology Solutions (Michel Shuqair), PC Active (Wammes Witkop, former editor/publisher of MCM and MCCM) etc.

or even another step back. We could interview... YOU! Tongue

If my current planning is a bit correct we can start building the 'interview-network' somewhere in october/november this year, using some of the interesting contacts we already have. The first interesting interviews could be up the same month (being optimistic here).

LOL ... I think a interview to me doesn't have any interest, excepted the english mistakes and other jokes and nonsenses that I make constantly Tongue

I know to build a "interview network" shoud be a hard work, but the results could be greats. I don't know many names of MSX people, only a few "historical" guys, but I'm sure any of that you mentioned should be very very interesting... in any case, they're "live MSX history" Wink

yeah.. we'll I think it's a cool thing to do as well...

But as I've announced on several other forum threads, I have a lot of MRC-work to do as it is already. Same goes for the rest of the MRC staff for that matter. However, the most time-consuming jobs will be 'finished' in a month (or two) which means we can focus on other things.

You're right... I wonder what could be to read an interview with the designers (I don't know their names Crazy Crazy ) of Penguin Adventure or King's Valley, hints, memories, anecdotes...

It's a pity all those people live in Japan and are hard to contact... But the idea is great. Perhaps one could start with the people in the Netherlands, like Wammes Witkop, the MSX Gids twins, if possible Ronald Blankenstein (Wammes and Ronald had very interesting visions about MSX2 when it was introduced, would be nice to ask them about the MSX Revival), etc.

And if that doesn't work, you can always interview me Big smile

Would be nice hearing from such people as FAC, Station, FCS. Or people involved in the early cracking days such as Martos, SMA.

There has been many developpers in Europe as well to interview, all those spanish guys who worked at Dynamic,Topo Soft, Opera...

And how about the MSX scene in Korea, Russia, Brazil, Arab countries... We could probably learn a lot of things unheard of.
