I was just wondering what you people think of Maggoo's MSX 20th anniversary demo. It kind of has a Bandwagon/Lieves!Tuore kind-of feel to it, and of course a nice bit of IOD ;). I for one am quite satisfied with the results!

I haven't seen it yet. Maybe I will tomorrow or otherwise sunday Big smile
But a new demo by IOD is already cool before I've seen it Tongue

I like the PSG music: I think that good results with limited hardware is better than good music on eg. a MoonSound. Too bad it didn't run on my real MSX2... why does it need to load the whole demo ? I have the feeling it can work with 128KB RAM with minor modifications. (or at least 256KB which I have Tongue )

Oh and some graphic effects remind me of ZX Spectrum demos, eg. the blue wavy bars.

It indeed could work with 256k or even 128 but would require loading between the different parts, thus constant interruptions, music stopping and starting all over again.

the reason why I push this much, asking people for reactions is because several MSX groups - like Bandwagon - have quit the MSX Scene because they did not receive any positive feedback. Maggoo took the time to create a marvellous demo once again and is planning to do some more in the future. Right here we have a perfect place to support that, don't we?

Over a 100 people have downloaded this demo, come on! Give some response!! Smile

Thanks Snout but don't you worry, the next one will come anyway, it's only a matter of time. It's done for the fun, not for the ego boost Althought I'm not complaining about it either... Big smile

I hope in the meantime I can find what was causing that problem on some TR so that I can avoid it in the next demo (MSX 30th anniversary Demo ?) Smile

A really good demo with some nice effects (have seen those effects usually in other platform demos). PSG music was wonderful! I'm glad that it didn't have FM-only music since I don't have FM-PAC yet Tongue Keep up the good work! Smile

Great to see a new real MSX demo, not just another music collection! MSX1 screens together with MSX2 VDP effects and good taste design gives really neat result! It reminded me about Metall Limit, L!T demos and it even had some Atari feeling. PSG was also used very nicely.

It was a honour to get name to the greetings section.

Keep up good work, it is pleasure to see this kind of stuff!
