I've written a book! It covers ASM programming on Z80, 6502, 68000, 8086 and ARM!
It's available on amazon stores worldwide!

"Learn Multiplatform Assembly Programming... With Chibiakumas" is my first book... Covering a whopping 5 CPU's (Z80, 6502, 68000, 8086, ARM) it's aimed at the absolute beginner.

There's an introduction covering the terminology you'll come across, an introduction to each processor, it's registers and addressing modes, and a summary of all the major commands, written in a style intended to be 'down to earth' and more suited to regular readers!

The book contains 270 pages is available now from Amazon stores worldwide either in print as a paperback ($18.66 / £14.95), or digitally on Kindle ($9.55 / £7.99). (Though there seems to be some 'shipping issues on the UK store - I had to buy mine to Japan from the US)

Wow!! That must have taken an insane amount of work! I just purchased the kindle edition, I have never coded in 6502/ARM, and I am curious to check those explanations out! Best of luck with the book! Smile

That looks great. I will buy it right now. I love these kind of books. Actually reading Boot Sector Games / More Boot Sector Games by Oscar Toledo.

Yes, thanks Vampier - I should have mentioned the Youtube - I'm not a fan of spam-promoting my work, so I forgot to mention it.

There's an MSX playlist here, which should cover all the MSXy content:

Thanks to everyone for their support!

As my copies have arrived, I've now made a video discussing the book, and what publishing on Amazon is like...

Hopefully it will be of interest to any budding authors out there!?

@keith56; I saw this post and your video about the book. I like your tutorials on the web and YouTube very much. My struggle to learn assembly is hard and go step by step. Your tutorials, video's, comments and explanation make things more easier and clear to me. If there is a way for me to learn it, it will be your way. Thank you. Thank you so much. I ordered the book. Hope it will help me get me further in my assembly learning journey. Thanks again for your dedication and commitment. - Keep up the good work! Hannibal

Just curious why the decision to go with 15 different CPU's instead of one at a time.

Master one then go to the next.

My personal interest is use write a program that takes over the entire machine like an Amiga Demo.

Keith had been focusing a lot of his videos in cross-platform assembler development (which is very interesting, honestly, as it is not very common). So, it's just natural that the book would go that route Smile
