WTS: Japanese Panasonic FS-A1WX MSX2+ computer. The FS-A1WSX MSX2+ (100V) has the new Yamaha V9958 video chip and MSX-MUSIC synthesizer. It also features Ren-Sha Turbo. The Z80A CPU can be switched from 3.57 MHz to 5.37 MHz. Also interesting: as far as I know this is the only MSX2 + with S-VIDEO output that offers better quality than composite (comparable to SCART). There is also an RGB output, with which you get an excellent image on monitors and most TVs with a European RGB-to-SCART cable.
Cleaned inside and out (dust removed), capacitors checked (looking good), no corrosion in the battery slot. That said, this model doesn't work flawlessly. It turns on and shows graphics and outputs audio, but it appears to freeze when you use certain cartridges, in both slots. The screen then stays black, however it mostly turns on again when you put a cartridge in the other slot.
The left arrow button seems to be always activated, causing the cursor to go to the left. This stops for a moment when you press that key. The keyboard can be used, but does not work very well in this way. Furthermore, the floppy drive does not work (t's probably the motor). It is possible to build in another FDD - the ribbon cables and connections are good. Lastly, the body shows some wear and the keys too.
This machine might be interesting for someone who wants to tinker with it further, can use the parts or who wants to turn it into a special project (such as repainting the body). It's listed for € 225 on Marktplaats where you can also take a look for the photo's, but I'm open for offers.
