I see the same message in the console indeed, only with 'this download will be blocked in future versions of Chrome'. Smile

Now I get another message as well when (left) clicking: Resource interpreted as Document but transferred with MIME type application/octet-stream: "https://www.msx.org/sites/default/files/downloads/demos/disks/ACDEMO.LZH".

Which should be innocent in itself.. The warning (so I read) could be related to different Origins (here: https -> http). Otherwise it might help to add the download attribute to the dl links, or serve with the Content-Disposition: attachment header (but I think this really shouldn't be necessary, as it's already served as application/octet-stream).

The problem is that clicking on the links of the Downloads DB gives a 303 redirect, and the redirect sends you to an HTTP (not HTTPS) location:

Location: http://www.msx.org/sites/default/files/downloads/games/arcad...

If the “http” there is changed to “https”, the issue will be fixed. The HSTS header upgrades the request to https anyway, it’s just that the original redirect URL needs to be updated as well.

@Grauw You're saying (with less words) the same as I have already.

Consider it a succinct actionable summary for some msx.org mod Smile.

(I sent a moderator alert so that one will hopefully see it.)

Thanks for all your replies.
I am using a W10 computer with Chrome (Version 88.0.4324.150).
Using Edge works great (but I hate Edge ;-)

"Save As" should work as well for the moment, untill the mods have solved the problem Smile

So why not Firefox then? Smile Chrome/Chromium is dominating the market (modern Edge is based on Chromium as well), Firefox can use more users Wink Are you using the latest Edge (88.0.705.63 ATM), or the legacy 44.x (EdgeHTML)? (As if it's the former, it would be kinda remarkable it isn't displaying the same issues as Chrome 88.)

Some great extensions/add-ons to be found as well. E.g. a very nice feature/add-on is 'Multi-Account Containers'.

I tried to download Firefox but I am using a company computer at the moment and unfortunately downloading programs is forbidden.
