It is fixed now! I released 1.0.3; grab it from the website.

I'll try to include the fix in all cartridges (Poly won't be happy, but bugs are bugs!).

Just bought this game the other week and wow, what a terrific game. It looks and sounds great, and the control and gameplay are just so tight and perfect. Gonna bring my MSX to a local Commodore club meeting next week and show it off. Smile

IIRC Night Knight was coded in hybrid C/ASM? Which C-compiler did you use (SDCC?) Inline or linked assembly?

Hi there ; my teenage nephews wanted to try Night Knight (which, I quote, "looked like splatoon") and really enjoyed it.
(We're playing the MSX1 version... for now !).

I used SDCC. Mostly linked assembly because inline doesn't look very well mixed with C code. If is a short routine, it's OK though.
