I wanted to ask you all what you consider is required for a minimum viable emulator nowadays? E.g. features that is required by any emulator. Appreciate your feedback and thoughts.

I think one of the most important things missing currently is "Fast-forward"-button to reduce loading/intro times.

BTW I don't know what this is all about, but it seems that the lower part of screen in F-Nano2' is corrupted:

@dvik... good news to get it usable on Edge soon... MS is switching to the Chromium engine for their webbrowser.

Many thanks nyyrikki for the detailed screenshots. Hope it will be easy to fix.

@Vampier, that is really good news. I guess I'll wait until they switch and then add some check on browser version to make it a bit nicer for people.

@santiontanon I think getting issues in this thread would be great. Apart from nyyrikki's bugs the thing on my todo now is save state. Have it working for MSX1, so probably 1/3rd of the way there.

If you have thoughts on other general emulation features please suggest them too (some on my shortlist is keyboard configs and joystick support)

ok! Then, the one thing I've noticed on the ROM I was trying (my current MSXDev project) is that the 4 sprites per line constraint on MSX1 was not enforced. So, there was no flickering of sprites at all. I exploit this constraint in a couple of parts of the game to achieve some visual effects, and thus, they are not working properly in live.bluemsx.com Smile

@santiontanon that is certainly a bug (I'll find it and fix it).

Thanks for the bug reports. Fixed all but the fnano one (not sure how to start the game). For the screen 5 border problem I actually rewrote the renderer and it is in theory much better (but need to do more tests to see that there aren't any regression.

I also added save states (both quick saves in the browser, and ones you can save to disk) The save states are portable so if you have an issue or see a bug, you can create a save state and send it to me.

Also fixed some other small bugs. New version 0.3.0 (getting closer to 1.0 Smile )

Press space 16 times. (Yes the beginning story is quite long)

Yes, it is still not perfect... Now sprites move with the border => Not good.

Here is another bug to hunt:
If you insert disk XYZ.DSK, press eject and insert XYZ.DSK again, it will not be inserted.

Ps. That fast forward mode that I mentioned would be nice also for testing.
