Thanx for the tip Bas, got the MSX at home now Smile

Question, there is a switch at the front pannel with a LED besides it.
When switched on the LED is lit, when diskdrive is active the LED blinks.
Can this be a 7MHz switch? Anyone an idea?

It's easy to try: fire up your MSX, having the switch turned ON. Once in BASIC, type: FOR I=0 TO 500: NEXT. If this is done in one second, it's still 3.5MHz, so the switch is used for something else.
If you can insert a disk w/ only MSXDOS2 on it and boot from it, it is a DOS2 switch.
If you can type SCREEN 12 in BASIC without it resulting in an 'Illegal function call', it's an MSX2+ switch.

Those are about all functionalities I've seen for such a switch.

With MSX2+ switch I actually meant an MSX BIOS switch, 'cause that's effectively what it is eh Wink

If you see smoke comming out of the MSX you know it was the selfdestruct switch Big smile

@D-Tail: I'll check it out, thx.
@Henk: It didn't self destruct in 10 sec Tongue

If you can type _TURBO ON in BASIC without a resulting 'Illegal function call' (or similar), it's a KUN-BASIC switch Smile
