I am afraid that we ran out of resources in the Altera chip.

Alexey, can you tell me something about the problems I'm having with the CF?

The access light is on, but the only way to boot again is to turn off the machine or remove-reinsert the CF and reset the MSX.

I have found that issue with the C2 loaned to me. I power everything off, and then reinsert the CF and the C2 cartridge before powering back up, but that should not happen? I am using a HBF9S, perhaps the cartridge is not resetting properly?

I noticed that on some computers (Panasonic A1-WX, A1-ST) the cartridge does not work properly after power on. Resetting the machine helps to make the cartridge work again. No idea why this happens. Maybe Altera doesn't get the firmware loaded fast enough...

But the problems I am experiencing occur after a successful boot and a subsequent reset.
Moreover every other part of the cart (except the CF) works OK.

Could it be some compatibility problem with the CF Nextor driver and some models of CF cards? Maybe some cards need a looser reset pulse timing?

I have tried a couple of different types of CF card, it seems to be with the three (different makes) i have tried?

Sometimes after a reset it boots in to tape basic only, i.e. No disk basic functions no _fdisk either

The issue at power on, sometimes happens with my HBF9S, as though the cartridge is not there. A system 'reset' often solves it though. I do not think the issue is the Sunrise BIOS, but something in the way the C2 hardware is initialised? I haven't had the opportunity to test it on a HX10 yet, maybe in April an opportunity will arise?

It is a fine cartridge otherwise!

I wanted to write a batch file to automatically use c2man to install all the .ROM images within a directory, into the C2 with a batch file.
The only way I can think is a lot of command lines
c2man romfile1.rom /a
c2man romfile2.rom /a
and so on
Is there a way to read the directory, and than stick romfile variables into the command line? get it to repeat until all the ROM files are loaded?

I personally haven't seen this problem. I tried CF cards from Canon (32mb), Kingston (512mb), Sandisk (64mb, 256mb, 4gb), Transcend (4gb) and several SD and MicroSD cards in the CF-to-SD adapter Type 1. Everything worked without a problem. Do you have only one cartridge that you can test? Can you reproduce the problem with another cartridge?

I remember that I saw Grauw showing me how to use batch operations on multiple VGM files with MM (file manager). You have to select a few files with Space and then press Enter on one of them. Then the command assigned to that file extension will be run for every selected file. But it doesn't work with my MM. Maybe Grauw could tell how he made his magic work?

Thank you for your help, i think i'll just have to write a long batch file, not a problem. I was hoping someone might know how i might be able to do it? When it has uploaded a cartridge it says press 'any' key to continue, my keyboard does not have an 'any' key?

I am unable to get the ROM image RC767.ROM to work with C2, has anyone else has this issue? I cannot get RC767_E.ROM to work either. Using the c2man or the sofarun programs just results in a blank screen, ideas?
