I make cartridges when I have about seven orders, for make a litle batch of ten units.
The 8bits4ever website states "out of stock" and it is impossible to order? https://www.8bits4ever.net/product-page/carnivore2-gold
Please also update the firmware to enable PSG. Otherwise the latest boot block will not be able to enable/disable PSG and clicker.
Which are the correct files to be updated?

Maybe 8bits4ever could comment on availability. Or Carmeloco.
We have a new batch in the works. If everything goes good, we should have units available by the 2nd/3rd week of March
I am trying to update the firmware.. I have (apparently succesfully) flashed the new firmware using the usb blaster (verify okI think) - its however not detected when i tried running c2man under MSX-DOS 1:-( do I need a certain version of msx-dos or anything else, or should I retry flashing??

Was it detected before the firmware update? Try to input the slot number when C2MAN asks. Try 01 or 10 for the first slot and 02 or 20 for the second slot.
I havent read the entire topic, so I got a quick question:
I noticed the 8bits4ever version does not come with a connector for usb blaster. Can we update it from msx/CF card?

No, the firmware can be only updated with USB Blaster. You don't need to solder a connector. Just use the 5x2 dual row pins and insert them into the AS connector holes on one side and into the USB Blaster female cable on the other side. Tilt it a bit for better connectivity.

yes, it was detected and fully functional (but with the older firmware, I think from september or so), inputting the slot number (10 worked before) doesn't make a difference...
(the error is:
FlashROM chip's type is not detected!
This cartridge is not open for writing or may be defective!
Try to reboot and hold down F5 key...
(the reboot with F5 doesn't make a difference)
)
Try to re-upload the latest firmware again. Make sure you supply correct 5v onto the board before programming. Could have been a glitch.
