Is it better than Graph Saurus v2.0, Jipe?

For retouches using the MSX itself on screen 5, 7, 8 and 12, I still use it.

I mostly use Gimp and MIFui on the Mac, then do some final touches here and there with Graph Saurus. And now Pixel Polizei came as a great help for screen-2.

Screen-10 is still the most difficult to find good tools. MIFui can make great conversions, but I have to use some tricks if I need to limit the amount of RGB colors it uses to patch the colorbleeds. But then I end up with a static screen. I can't do any final retouches on the image. It would be great if some tool like Multipaint could support screen-10 properly.

Cant do. I can program small games in basic. But a nice scrolling game like this is not a option.

Would be great.

this is actually a very good start - as soon as you might have tile sheets and maps ready, and perhaps an idea or a game design of how the whole game would work, that would help a lot for when someone might want to help with the code, music, etc.

btw, there are really good map editors like Tiled ( http://www.mapeditor.org )

So any tested screen 1 editor?

I downloaded MSX GIDS 15 10 days ago and have just finished typing the whole thing in. I have to say it's an amazing program - I wish I'd had it all those years ago when I was programming MSX games (or trying to!).

I took the liberty of converting it to English, and also created an English PDF manual. I realise that Martin van der Graaff owns the copyright, but if msx.org think it's something we could add to the downloads page I would be very happy to send it. Does anyone know Martin who could ask for his permission?

I would argue that its public domain since the moment it was published as a type-in in a magazine.
