Yes, I know. It sounds like a bit too much, but it is true. Check it out at Retroclasificados, my own retro marketplace.

Besides the friendly reminder, I'd like to know if you would use/aprove an international version in English, let's say retroclassified.com, with the eBay-ish structure and totally free. My main concern is how to deal with different currencies, althought I could start with EURO only and then, if it works, try to find a good solution.

Feedback is extremely welcome. And I know: I should make it mobile responsive right now, but for me this is a hobby, I'm not making any money with this website.

Thank you in advance. By the way, my stuff is at http://www.retroclasificados.com/usuario/edu-robsy

Regards!

I hardly see any MSX-related stuff at your link, mostly Sega and Nintendo stuff. Is this the right link?

Hi, Akiguchi: the first link is the good one for MSX stuff - just click on the "Retroclasificados" link in the post above or just check it out here http://www.retroclasificados.com/ordenadores/msx

The other link is my current list, and you are right: I need to add some more MSX stuff. Soon I will add a Sony HB-F700 MSX2 and most likely a Philips NMS8245, as well as different tape games and several MSX(1) computers. Sorry about the misunderstanding.

I think the English term is classifieds, so register retroclassifieds.com then Smile.

As for whether I would like it, yeah I think I do. eBay can be quite rigid and prices there are often unrealistically inflated, so much stuff just gets put up there for ridiculous prices and never sells, you just see the same item pop up again month after month. In the Netherlands we have Marktplaats which is very popular here just because it works more like classifieds, it feels more comfortable for many people and prices are much more negotiable. But of course it's limited to the Dutch audience. Something targeted at the international retro niche, I think there's value in that.

Thanks for the feedback, Grauw! I know that classifieds is the common name, but the domain is already registered Sad

Marktplaats is fine: I've been exploring it quite a few times looking for MSX goodies, but language is a real barrier there, even when Google Translator does its magic.

In any case, I'll think a bit more about it and I guess that I'll carry on and launch an international retro niche market Smile

I've bough the MSX DIN8 to SCART+2xRCA cable once on this site Smile almost 2 years ago i think. EVerything was fine, though i've been obliged to contact seller and negotiate shipping first, of course.

Thank you for the hint, RetroTechie: I didn't know about SellMyRetro. I'll have a look at it and try to improve my own website before attempting to go full-retro on an international scale.

Hello,
When it says 'sold' in the title, does it mean it has already been sold? (And if so, why is it on the list?) or is it trying to say: 'for sale'? (It might be a Google translate problem...).
Thanks.

It is indeed a google translate misunderstanding.

In Spanish it says "Se vende", that could roughly be translated as "For sale".

When the user has already sold the article, it gets removed from the listings, althought the ad page remains and it is marked with a warning that indicates that the item is no longer available.

The only remaining issue happens when the user has sold the item but has not removed the article. It happens from time to time.

Hope that this helps!

Hello Pitpan, have you got my message with some questions? I have contacted you through your Retroclasificados page few days ago. As I used contact form on a page with some MSX cassette for sale, does the message go to the seller or to you?
