Thanks, that works! Smile I did read through the topic and saw the 256KB mentioned, but I thought the 512KB in the MegaFlashROM would automatically fix that for me. I'm pretty new to the fancy stuff like the MegaFlashROM and even using Nextor or DOS as the mode that my MSX boots in. I've always just used diskettes and Basic. It's awesome to have so many games ready to go now. Smile

Here's another SRI bug report, hopefully a good one this time. :-)

I concatenated the three TOSEC Rune Master III [1991][Compile][JP][Disk X of 3].dsk disks into a single 2MB DSK file, and ran it from SofaRun. The game booted, but once I entered an actual game (world 2) I began observing graphical corruption. E.g. the character hitpoint and attack level numbers don't show up correctly. If I boot the same disks normally using openMSX, everything looks fine.

Ah yes, that's something I've experimented too: that's because SRI's disk driver is too fast (Rune Master III launches some VDP commands performed while loading things from disk). Try to increase the "Disk delay" setting until GFX are not corrupted anymore.

I'm seeing some issues launching a couple of megaroms from SofaRun 2.3. The same roms work fine when inserted into openmsx's cartridge slot 1, and work fine when flashed explicitly with opfxsd on an MFRSCC+SD. But not when launched with default settings from SofaRun.

@Louthrax:

I created some zip files containing a few games, and deployed them to the SD card on my Neo Zemmix. The Zemmix provides an MSX-DOS v2.31 kernel and I'm using msxdos2.sys v2.33 and command2.com v2.44.

By default, with a minimal autoexec.bat, that configuration leaves only 54,534 bytes of free TPA memory. And when I run suz.com on even small zip files, it fails fairly quickly with 'out of memory' errors.

I don't suppose it would be possible to get suz.com working on lower-TPA configuration? I love being able to use long file names, so this is a bit of a showstopper for me.

Thanks!

Does Sofarun also support the KoB mapper flash device from Repro Factory so you can load MegaROMs?

Hi.
I have a problem with the language settings and the appearance of the characters.
when I start some Arabic .Roms through SofaRun v2.4 it start with unknown characters. I tried to changed language and Mapper setting but it was always give me the same unknown characters.
if I run the same .Roms with the direct command (opfxsd ) its work with the correct characters , the problem appear when I run it through SofaRun .
Additional note : I'm using Arabic MSX console (Al Alamiah ) with MegaFlashRom

Three things :

1) In the browser, how do you change from drive A: to drive B: or to drive C: ? There's nothing in the instructions.
OK found how to do it.
But you should put some instructions about that in the manual ...

2) I tried to edit SR.INI from the browser. I got a VEDIT, then when I pressed space I got "Out of segments"
3) I can't have megaroms to work, I keep having "Out of segments" error ...

I have the Sunrise CF ATA-IDE in cartridge slot 2, and a ESE-SCC in the cartridge slot 1, on a Sony HB-F9P. I don't understand why, but small roms that were working now make an error "Out of segments" (I got this error even on a 16K rom !!) ... I don't get the error (and they work) if I pull out the ESE-SCC.

I've tried also with a MegaflashROM SCC+ SD and got the same errors.

SofaRun is redefining some characters to diplay its UI (things like bars and blocks). They just need to be restored before launching the ROM, that will be fixed in the next release.

I don't think so (unless this mapper is compatible with other existing and SofaRun-supported mappers).
