I would like the refund (opción a)
Sorry and thanks for the effort done so far!!!
makinavaja, thanks again for your efforts.
Since you asked for offers, I could see paying maybe 10 euros for a questionably working membrane, but probably not significantly more. Otherwise, I'll go with the game over option.
Hi Makinavaja,
Sorry to see that all the work you've put into this project did not bring out the result you were (and we as well) hoping for. As for me, I wanted a new membrane for my WX which has 2 or 3 keys not working properly. I won't take the risk in having a membrane which doesn't work 100% like new, using a patch.
So I'll take the option A : game over and refund.
Thanks a lot for all your efforts and the follow-up on this project.
Option A.
Thanks for your efforts and too bad it didn't work out.
Hi Makinavaja,
Option A for me too (refund).
Thank you for all your efforts.
Regards.
Hi again
Can You post a pic of the final product?
Here https://flic.kr/p/rhMcW5 you've have a picture I posted months ago. Those are de first version I received. The last one is quite similar, with differences on the middle layer.
In your tests, how many keys generally were not working with the membrane's being tested? And while I remember you mentioning the tape trick, do you think you might run through that process again for us?
On the last version of the membrane, there were usually arround 1, 2 or 3 keys not working.
Running myself the process is something dangerous for the turboR computer I use for the test. For doing it, first I need to discover wich keys doesn't works. For that, first I must open the MSX, disconnect my keyboard, disassemble it (20 mini screws) change membrane, put all 20 screws again, connect the keyboard, test all the keyboard, discover wich keys I must repair, disconnect again (turborR keyboard connector sucks) disassemble again, fix the membrane, mount again, and test if it works.... and if it does, disassemble again the keyboard to ship it... well, maybe I can do it in 10 minutes (I have done it dozens of times) but I'm afraid that the motherboard of my computer dies doing it repeatedly. The keyboard connector seems to be a bit delicate.
Since you asked for offers, I could see paying maybe 10 euros for a questionably working membrane, but probably not significantly more. Otherwise, I'll go with the game over option.
I think that 10€ wont be accepted by the manufacturer but well, the final offer will be calculated with the average of all offers proposed.
All those who choosed option A, tomorrow I will start the refunds. Those who paid with bank transfer must be patient. My bank has a limit of free bank transactions every month. If you have a paypal account, I will highly appreciate if you mail me your paypal account to make you the refund.
Makinavaja
I think I would go for option B. Better than nothing:-)
Makinjava.
You have done well and have shown great patience and effort in everything you have done so far. Because of this I will certainly be in another project if you ever have one.
A not well working membrane however is not a option for me. Since my keyboard works just fine and I have donors there is no gain for me to have something that I cannot count on a full 100% as a spare. So its option A for me.
Sometimes things simply go wrong. You are handling it really well. Keep your projects going
Ey, Daemos... Don't count my WX as one of your spares
hahahaha your WX is your WX.
