Did you sell the game by yourselves or did you make an agreement with a distribution company? If you gave them the commercial rights, probably they were legally entitled to sell it abroad, unless excluded from the agreement.

Again, no clues. I am just guessing!

Wolf's memory is always very sharp. Indeed the program you claim has been described in number 23 of MCCM.
Eaglesoft, Premium III are/were members of van Aacken Holding a distributor of many games.
If you guys feel double crossed or have had disadvantage/loss, you should first investigate or let investigate if the company /or the person Van Aacken still exists. The local Chamber of Commerce will most likely help you to find it.
If they cannot, what I doubt you I am able to provide you the address of the Chamber of Commerce since Sunrise is registered at that very same address. They will most likely also give an advice ,after that you should make your mind up if it is worth to see a attorny.
If you are interested in that address write me at sunhisan@euronet.nl.

Terve Tero! (Ja Mika kans jos luet tätä!)

Kiva kuulla suomalaisen pelin ohjelmoijaa! Big smile

Mitäs muita julkaisuja tahi julkaisemattomia MSX pelejä olit ohjelmoimassa Tero?

Mikan MS logo on ainakin miun Rollerissa ja öh, en muista nyt tähän hätään missä muissa, jossain muussakin. (paitsi tietty Miner MachinessaWink)

I am anyway interested to know more about releases of this game, as I said, I have never heard of ANY finnish msx game which was sold outside of Finland!!!

So this is historical!! Smile

Thought I don´t know anything from your agreement with Boss-Company, maybe this is not as nice fact to know to Tero and Mika. Shocked!

Mika, I would like to hear more about Boss Company, as I read from Mikrobitti that it was doing things around MSX, but I never read anything else about them.

Do you know, did they publish any other MSX games, or did they publish any utility programmes? Or made any add-on hardware thingies?

Guys, it is great to notice that the MSX legacy lives on!!! I have myself not been able to play my own games since my Spectravideo broke down a few years ago. Now I see that the MSX emulators are making the life easier, although of course nothing can match the real thing.

I mailed info about this discussion group to MIka, I guess he will join shortly. To clarify the situation briefly for those who I have not been in email contact with, we sold the games in exchange for royalty but never received anything from sales abroad. We were never informed that the game would be published abroad. In other words, either the publisher just did it, or somebody has just taken the code and sold it as his own. I guess the latter alternative is more probable.

Btw, we also published an earlier game through the company that imported MSX machines to Finland. It was, however, written in basic (with some machine code subprograms), and I have even forgotten its name. It was Jumper Jack or something.

I live nowadays in London, and just out of curiousity would be very willing to receive any ex-Finland copies of our games (Tank, Miner Machine, Roller). We can settle the sales through Ebay or whatever. Alternatively, best thing is to meet up if anyone is around in London.
