HEI HEI HEI HEI HEI!!!!!!!

This topic is maybe mostly for finnish MSXers, as Miner Machine was finnish boulder dash clone, but anyway, look what I found from ebay!

eBay link {mod}

As I said, Miner Machine is finnish game, published by Boss-Company in 1987, and only as cassette version.

So, somehow it had found it´s way to Eaglesoft´s disk version!!!

I NEVER heard of finnish MSX games which were sold outside of Finland! Some commiedore 64 programmers got their games published abroad, but MSX games... no-way (?).

And this game was already published in Finland.

It´s cover was much simpler (and totally different) drawing than this eaglesoft cover. Sorry, I can´t find screenshot of original miner machine cover. And looking at those very little screenshots in cassette cover, it looks like Miner Machine that I know.

So, any clues from anyone?

I've got MINER MACHINE in tape format, published in Spain. Anyway, it is not my favourite Boulder Dash clone. Actually, even the original Boulder Dash was poor. I prefer Joe Kowalsky's Blow Up or CEZ Stratos. Do you agree with me? Wink

Heh, I love the original Boulderdash games. I especially like the virus enemies, which turn to diamonds when getting into contact with butterflies Big smile

Blow Up was cool, but had way less levels and not such advanced enemies.

Still, I think Manuel is right. The original Boulder Dash really kicks ass Smile

Spanish cassette?? Wonderful, now I am more confused! Shocked!

I liked original Boulder Dash very much and when I got it´s MSX version, I was unbelievably happy to see it was almost exactly the same as c64 version I loved so much! actually, only title screen and diamonds looked different, and scrolling was jerky of course, but that didn´t bother me at all!!!!

I never heard of joe kowalsky in 80s, just tried it on emulator years ago. But it looked so nice as graphics were so colourful, so i surely had liked it in the 80s on my msx if it had been possible to get me a copy.

IIRC it was published in Spain by System 4. Nice game but poor graphics.

Hello friends,

I created and programmed the original Finnish version, together with my friend Mika Savolainen as schoolboys. We got some pocket money for it after it was published in Finland, but we were never informed of any publication abroad.
So if you have any details about the publisher, or if someone could sell me an original copy, I would be very delighted. Let's sue the bastards.
Best,
Tero W
