hehe... I understand your feelings.. it's like with the OCM... it's nice to hear some news from time to time, but at the end of the day it's best to reveal news when there actually is news... the peeps behind Dumas deserve some credit because of Obsonet, that's for sure!
Dumas will be released, I'm sure. Konamiman is behind the project
And I'm sure he's not the only one behind the project!
Konamiman will do it!!! He's our MSX guru!!!
Konamiman now is working in USB Bios.
Hope he will do a very good work. Dumas, for me can be one of the best MSX hardware ever. Now I'm also waiting for some news about another great projects like Symbos or OCM...
I have 2 questions:
1) Will it work in MSX1 machines?
2) If I connect an USB Pen drive in it, will I be able to boot with it (DOS2 or DOS1) (I mean, no need for a HD anymore, just use a Pen drive instead)?
1) Will it work in MSX1 machines?
Ah, that's a good question
It should, but DOS kernel embedded in USBorne BIOS is version 2.30, and I think it does not like MSX1 machines.

For USBorne BIOS there are not such things as pendrives or HDs, devices simply either are storage devices or they are not. You can boot from a HD, a pendrive, a SD card, a floppy disk, a ZIP disk, a digital camera, a MP3 replayer, or anything, as long as it acts as a standard storage device when connected to the USB port.
konamiman,is there any possibility to patch DOS2 to use DUMAS on MSX1?It´s the only thing that needs to be the PERFECT hardware ever made for MSX.

I don't know DOS kernel so deeply to answer this... I just know that the 2.30 kernel boot code checks the MSX version and refuses to boot if MSX1 is detected. Removing this checking is easy, but I don't know it that would be enough.
